Metro Park and Ride makes Sunday shopping simple

Story added: Thursday 18 November 2004

Sunday shoppers can forget about parking problems and take the Metro to town from this weekend when operator Nexus opens two of its most popular Park and Ride facilities.

Nexus will open the Four Lane Ends and Regent Centre Car Parks from this Sunday (November 21) until Sunday January 2. The opening excludes Boxing Day.

The Park and Ride car parks are normally closed on Sundays but Nexus is opening them to meet expected demand as the great Christmas shopping rush begins.

Both car parks are permanently staffed and covered by CCTV, meaning Metro users can be assured that their car is safe while they shop.

The Sunday opening hours for both car parks are 10am to 6pm and parking is just £1 per day. There are a range of tickets on offer to help shoppers access the City Centres.

In addition to being open on Sundays, the car parks will also be open on the Bank Holidays of December 27 and 28, and January 3 from 10am to 6pm.
