Nexus, the Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive, is changing the operator of one of its secured bus services in Gateshead from next week. From Tuesday (31 August) the operation of local minibus service 68 in the Heworth and Felling areas will be handled by Classic Coaches replacing the present incumbent Low Fell Travel. The routes and times of the service, which is secured by Nexus, are unchanged. Nexus secures 400 bus routes across Tyne and Wear which are socially necessary.
