Concessionary Travel
What we have achieved

  • Improved the issuing system for users of concessionary passes through the use of a bureau arrangement
  • Simplified and improved reimbursement payment arrangements to operators for the carriage of CT passengers
  • Introduced new day-rover type concessionary ticketing


What we plan to achieve

  • Encourage further take-up of the Scheme through promotional activities
  • Explore the possibilities of widening the Concessionary Travel Scheme’s coverage
  • Make arrangements to implement the Government’s proposals to give free travel on local bus services for disabled people and those aged 60 years and over as from 1st April 2006
