The meeting of the Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Authority, which was due to take place on Thursday, January 26, has been postponed until February 8.
The chairman of the PTA, Cllr David Wood, has made the decision to postpone the meeting, which would have set the revenue budget for 2006/7, while talks continue with Government on the funding of Concessionary Travel arrangements.
It is hoped that by February 8 members of the PTA will be in a better position to set the revenue budget as a result.
